Last week we got a chance to party at the 2nd Annual ONE Music Fest! Hosted by DRES tha BEATnik and Phife of A Tribe Called Quest, special guests included Tortured Soul, The Cool Kids, The Foreign Exchange, Anthony David, The Pharcyde, Chrisette Michele and many others. From the first few notes Anais Aida’s take on the Janelle Monae composition “Say You’ll Go” I somehow knew that this was a voice that I would be hearing much more from. If you didn’t get a chance to check that out go here. Well she’s back with a cover of a great tune by Anthony David(the title track of his latest project no less) another fave around these parts. This music is warm, I mean January 21st, just got out of the snow by the fire, pass me the Merlot warm. Singing and playing the way it should be done: tasteful. Enjoy!

Atlanta has been going through some serious weather PMS lately. It may be chilly with a forecast of evening showers on Monday and a burst of great weather on Tuesday.  To ease this restless confusion and “spread the sunshine”, Ms. Avery Sunshine will be in Atlanta Thursday, April 7th at Moods Music, 7pm – 8:30pm. For those of you who haven’t gotten Anthony David’s new album “As Above, So Below“, let me get on my soap box and say this:

What the hell are you waiting for?!? Buy the damn CD for goodness sake!!! What is wrong with you?? Do you not like good music?!?

Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, we will return to our regularly scheduled program already in progress!!! :)

To give us a little taste and understand the inspiration for his latest release, Anthony David sat with Jodine Dorce at the 1st Hit Listening Lounge this past Monday. In this interview, Anthony shares some of his thoughts on spirituality, relationships and social issues spoken within his CD. He stressed the importance of showcasing a well rounded body of work within his artistry.
