Darien Brockington-The Cold Case Files
Darien Brockington is back with the follow-up to his 2006 solo debut Somebody To Love. Just recently released, The Cold Case Files is a 19-track set that melds songs and vignettes in a seamless manner. The album presents itself as an audio diary complete with suspense and turns in the plot. Life and the intersection of love are mined for here for some very introspective material.
Some of the standout tracks are: “Fashionista(I Wish I Didn’t Love H.E.R.)”, “I Know(You Know)” and “Beautiful”. You can listen to the recording and purchase a copy here . Definitely looking forward to hearing a lot more from D-Brock in ’10.

Ivan Orr is a musician/social critic whose creative output runs the gamut from provocative to entertaining. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music(Jazz Studies Emphasis) with a minor in African American Studies. During the 1990’s and early 2000’s Ivan was involved with The Music Resource Center in Charlottesville, VA.
